We arrived in Denver on Saturday. We drove down using Marc's parent's truck. We had to stop in Casper, WY on the way down to watch the USA play in the world cup, of course! The surprise was to see that no one in Applebee's was watching the game... shocking!!
We are staying with Charlie and Dianne Diehl who have been great. Denver hasn't changed too much and we are really enjoying visiting the old haunts. Our first visit was to see Don Diehl's new house! Looks good!
We were able to see lots of friends while we were in town... and eat at lots of restaurants. We visited Woody and Era and saw their new addition to the family. We met up with Alyssa in Boulder for lunch and the best gelato! We ate lunch with David and Josh down in Highlands Ranch. We ate dinner with our old neighbors Mike and Debbie and caught up on what is happening in the old neighborhood. We stopped by to visit with more old neighbors, Eric, Sarah, Benton and Maria, and see their cute growing family. We visited with Kendra, Jason, Taylor and Luke several times on our trip. We ate lunch with our running mate, Nancy. We visited Donna in Louisville for ice cream. It was great see everyone and catch up.
Marc has been attending the International Society of Technology in Education conference in Denver for three days. It was very large and Marc had a lot to learn since being away for two years.
We ate at some of our favorites: Heidi's, Watercourse, Chipoltle, Einstein's, New Saignon, Amadeos, Parisi's.
Stephanie has been shopping for maternity clothes that will be comfortable in the summer heat. She has also started the week studying for her courses. She has finished the hardest term with three courses. She is more than halfway done!
The second week in Denver, we stayed with Jon and Denise Goldin-Dubois. We started off our stay by going to see a Colorado Rapids game for the 4th of July. Jon is campaigning for State Congress 7th District. We helped canvas for him one night. Go Jon!
