Several Moroccans have referred to the first 40 days of birth as the period where babies figure out the difference between night and day. I don't know if is true for Norah, but the thought is reassuring.
We have started going out on small excursions when we can. Going to cafes. She has eaten at her first French restaurant. Attended her first birthday party. Going to church for the first time. It feels like we are visiting Morocco for the first time again. Every small little thing is an adventure.
