Sleep Norah Sleep!
Over the past month Norah has started waking up every hour at night and most nights will only sleep if she is physically attached to Stephanie. This set up makes it difficult for both Norah and Stephanie to get a good nights rest. We knew something had to change so our family could be well rested and happy. On March 19, we cancelled all of our plans and dedicated the whole day to sleep training with Norah to help her (and us) sleep better. After reading several books and talking with friends and family we came up with a plan that we thought would work well for Norah and us. After one day, there was a huge transformation. She went from sleeping 1 - 2 hours at a time to sleeping from 6 pm to 7 am and waking up three times for a few minutes. Our lives (all three of us) have changed! Norah is more alert and playful and Stephanie (after pretty much 4.5 months of no more than a 2 hour stretch of sleep) is beginning to feel like a human being again.

Hi Stephanie! I'm been quietly keeping up with you all on your blog, but I wanted to thank you for posting pictures of your beautiful daughter. I have loved following your amazing journeys and am excited to learn of your plans to move back to the States. Hopefully that means I will get to meet baby Norah!!
