The Last Month

The weather has improved. Doesn't rain as much and the spring has been cool but warm enough that we don't need the fireplace any more. We can go up to the roof and watch the sunsets with out being too cold. Stephanie has started biking to work now and Marc has started running home from work.

About 4 weeks ago we went to the Kuwaiti Independence Day celebration at the Kuwaiti Ambassador's house. It was a surreal experience with lots of food, lots of people from all sorts of cultures and the house was really a palace with camel in the background.

Stephanie has started tutoring 5th students in the afternoon now with great success. They are all doing better in class! Marc has been trying to get new K-12 Math standards set up for next year. The work never ends but the good weather makes everything seem better.

There was another Eid about three weeks ago and so school was out for three days. It was a wonderful 5 day weekend. We invited Jeri, Jane, and Alan over for a Julia Child extravagant meal. It was very nice to just hang out in Rabat for a change.

We had two visitors two weeks ago. Mary Kay and Kory visited for four days. Mary Kay had just finished a 3 month tour in Ghana helping to build an orphanage. They both live in Washington DC and Kory met up with Mary Kay in Morocco. It was nice that put Rabat on their places to visit.

Last week, we had several people over for Euker. It seems to becoming a sort of monthly tradition to play Euker at someone's house.

Spring Break has just started today and we are off to Paris for the week! More posts later!
