Stephanie and Jeremy took out their car from the garage and we drove about an hour and half away from Vienna in a small town called Mitteregg. We stayed at a nice B&B which advertized as a farm house (maybe it was) but was near a small ski slope. We hiked up to one of the ski slopes and had a drink. We hiked for another hour enjoying the mountain air. We had a lovely dinner in town.
The next day we drove to Semmering and parked at the train station. We hiked along a historical path that gave us views of the train tracks that were built in the mid 1800s. It is now a world heritage site. We hiked for several hours and arrived in Brietenstien. It was a great hike and we would never had done it if it hadn't been for our great hosts!
