First Day of School

We arrived about a week before school. This turned out to be great. Marc has tons of stuff to do (at work) and never had anytime last year to work on it. Stephanie helped to clean up Marc's class room and they both packed up a ton (literally) of books and donated them to the Peace Corps. Marc put in about a 3-5 hours of work each day and then we enjoyed getting into the groove of Moroccan life.

Ramadan started last week which is a little strange to have the first week of school also be a holiday. We've been biking to work routinely. Stephanie's derailer completely broke off so we may have to get a new derailer shipped from somewhere. She really wants to be on her bike!

The first official day of school started last Wednesday. Marc is enjoying being on top of things for a change. It is nice knowing 70% of the students already - it makes learning a lot easier. He is teaching 9-12th grade this year, four different classes (AlGeo 2, AlGeo 3, IB Math Sl 1 and 2.

Stephanie will be working with one student who needs alot of support this year. She will be working one on one with him for at least one period (out of four) a day.
