We were a little nervous about this part of the trip because there were several unknowns but it worked out in the end. We arrived at the port two hours early and we were one of the last ones to arrive. No problem because we were going all the way to Morocco we had to drive in last (and back wards into the ship). The ship was large and first went to Barcelona. We decided that we wouldn't pay $1000 for two nights in a cabin which made the experience much more of an adventure. It seemed most of the Italians and Spaniards stayed in the cabins and the poor Moroccans had chairs. We just tried to sleep on the floor.
There were a few parts that were uncomfortable. 1) The food. - it turned out that this was included in the fare but ... it was the same pasta 4 meals in a row. It was cafeteria food but felt more like prison food. 2) The bathrooms- there were about 10% women on the ship so the number of men using the bathroom was insane. The only think I'll say is that it was worse than when Marc had a latrine in Guinea.
We enjoyed hanging out with the Moroccans and traveling relatively stress free. We were the only Americans on board. We don't think Rick Steve has checked this boat ride yet. We were on the boat for 50 hours and it was pretty quick getting through customs.
We are sad that our vacation is over. It was absolutely amazing and might be a once in a life time oportunity to travel for so long. We are very thankful that we were healthy and that our didn't have any problems for the whole trip. We will now try start up our Moroccan life again.

I am so glad that a man had to experience crowded bathrooms. That is usually the female problem. lol
