Road trip to Essouiara

The end of Ramadan came two weeks ago. We had two days off to celebrate so we decided to check off one of our must go to places for this year. Our friends and coworkers Lynn and Nuru came with us for a three night stay in Essouiara. We drove South down the coast on Saturday morning and stopped in Safi on the way. The drive took about 5 hours. We stayed in a nice Riad that was very close to the central area of the medina. We enjoyed looking at the sunsets and taking time to read while sitting in the sun. We took a short trip to Ouassane. It is famous for surfing and is famous for the international surfing competitions. The beaches were very windy which was perfect for kite surfing and riding camels. We didn't do either.

On our way back, we drove via Marakesh. It turned out to be about the same time. Nuru and Lynn both got sick on the last day. We swear it wasn't our fault.
