Since we were only an hour away from Barcelona we took our time and arrived in Badalona around 2. We chose Badalona, which is just north of Barcelona, because we didn't want to pay so much for parking. It turned out to be a very nice place to stay. The beach was just a few feet from hotel so we often would take a dip in the cool water before getting on a 20 minute train to Barcelona. Barcelona was much more crowded than Madrid and took us a bit of time to figure out what we wanted to see. Stephanie and Marc borrowed bikes from the Hotel Miramar and explored the bike paths throughout Barcelona. What a great way to see the city. We enjoyed seeing Gaudi's architecture. At times we found ourselves going back to laid back Badalona which had a nice board walk and pleasant restaurants.

Those ice cream cones were big enough for an entire meal!! Again, great pictures.
